Meet the PRCHN's Summer 2016 Interns
Each summer, the PRCHN welcomes a diverse group of summer interns to the office to work on food retail audits, FM Tracks, the Youth Risk Behavior Survey, The Cancer Prevention and Control Resource Network (CPCRN), and the foodNEST.

The largest number of interns are conducting food retail audits for the Neighborhood Environmental Assessment Project (NEAP). NEAP has trained PRCHN interns in surveillance competencies, helping building a new generation of capable professionals who have the knowledge, skills, and capacities to complete small-area based surveillance. The NEAP interns are collecting data on the food retail environment in Cleveland. At the end of June, the team completed the first of three phases of their internship, ground-truthing 2,026 existing stores (in essence, making sure the store is still in business) throughout the City of Cleveland.
