PRCHN Staffer to Co-present National Shared Use Webinar July 20
On July 20, Community Health Engagement Coordinator Erika Hood, M.Ed, will co-present a national shared use webinar sponsored by the Safe Routes to School National Partnership. Hood is one of two individuals named as a National Shared Use Ambassador by the Safe Routes to School National Partnership and the National Shared Use Task Force, which created the Shared Use Ambassador program to acknowledge the innovative and dedicated work of individuals and organizations that are advancing shared use in their communities to improve public health through physical activity opportunities that might not otherwise be available. This free webinar takes place Thursday, July 20, from 1:00-2:00 pm ET.

Hood has successfully advanced shared use policies in six priority neighborhoods in Cleveland and the city of East Cleveland. Through relationship building and consulting with residents, she has worked to develop shared use policies at various neighborhood sites, such as churches, community centers, and settlement houses. She will be presenting the webinar with Ruth Bell, Health Program Analyst with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in Los Angeles, California, and Kate Moening, Field Services Manager, Safe Routes to School National Partnership.
